What our bodies can do; what my eyes have done!

My quest for understanding life, and how it works, continues, moment to moment.  I’m constantly reminding myself of the wonder and mystery that is life; and doing my best to live up to its possibilities. Promised are healing, perfection, and wholeness. What does it mean if you are “a healer” and if one is a healer, can one also be broken? Can we heal others if we are not healed? I’ve asked these questions of late. A few months ago, I began a personal experiment.  Could I heal my eyesight?  I’ve been wearing glasses since I was in college; some 40 years or so. I have an astigmatism, according to the eye doctors. When I reached my 40s I started wearing bifocals and in my 50 I tried tri-focal lenses. I would normally wear my glasses from morning till bedtime.

In March 2015, after attending a workshop of “enlightened messengers,” I took my glasses off and literally asked my brain to work harder to give me perfect vision.  For the first few days I found myself reaching for my glasses occasionally and for a few weeks I made a point of packing them around with me everywhere, even though I didn’t feel the need for them. It wasn’t easy quieting that little voice “but what if I can’t see?!” After about 4 weeks noticed I had stopped thinking about my glasses and my eyes. After about 6 weeks I decided I should have my eyes checked.

As luck would have it, I needed to visit our local DMV office to register a vehicle, so while I was there I inquired about my current driver’s license. I was curious if, since my photo showed me in glasses, if it was mandatory for me to wear glasses while driving. Since I’d been driving round for weeks not wearing glasses it seemed like a good idea to check!  I didn’t want to get in trouble.

If there is a 1 next to “restrictions,” then yes, I needed to have corrective lenses on while driving. Sure enough, mine had a 1 next to “Restrictions”. “Would it be possible to retake the eye exam?” I asked…… No Glasses Needed! 05-20-2015After I completed the exam the clerk asked me again if I had surgery or if I was wearing corrective lenses. No to either.

And yes, for those observant folks ~ I’ve also lost an inch in height LOL that wasn’t me, that was gravity!

Thank you Dear Reader!
